Meals on Wheels of Catawba County is in need of volunteers to deliver meals to homebound seniors throughout the county. Routes usually take an hour. Volunteers typically take one to two days a month. We have 12 different locations for you to pick up and deliver meals. We even work with businesses to give their employees the opportunity to volunteer with us in teams. Mission Statement
Meals on Wheels strives to deliver adequate nutrition to local seniors and disabled adults who cannot obtain or prepare it themselves. It is also more than just a meal, it is socialization and a safety check.
Description
For one hour, one to two days a month, volunteers deliver meals to seniors on a specified route. Volunteers provide both vital nutrition and vital social interaction for elderly members of the community.
