Homework Help
Help a child with their homework.

We are in need of volunteers who are at least 16 years of age to come to St. Vincent's Villa, residential treatment center, for 90 minutes per week (Mon-Thurs, 3:30-6:00PM) during the school year to help the children in our care to complete their homework and improve their academic skills.

Homework Volunteers encourage the children as they complete their homework. It is important that this type of volunteer is patient, engaging, enthusiastic, and helpful. All of the children here have emotional disabilities. Some have had numerous foster care placement failures that have repeatedly interrupted their education. Many have learning challenges.

After homework has been completed, Homework Helpers are welcome to stay and play with the children, and/or to share their interests and talents with the children.
