Did you know RSVP volunteers made 262 blankets, 8 hats and 10 scarves for our homeless veterans that were distributed at the 2012 Triad Homeless Veterans Stand Down on September 28, 2012?

Help RSVP reach its goal of donating a hand made (crocheted, knitted or sewn) blanket, hat and scarf to each veteran at next September's Triad Homeless Veterans Stand Down.

Volunteers can work on this service project from the comfort of their own home or come to the Greensboro Senior Center on Wednesdays from 1:00 - 3:00 pm to the Virtual Hands Group.

How can you help if you don't crochet, knit or sew?

  • Donate yard to the project.
  • Promote the Virtual Hands Veteran Service Project to those you know.
  • Make a monetary donation to RSVP for supplies for this project.

Volunteers must be 55 years or older to enroll in the Retired & Senior Volunteer program.

The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program is a Senior Corps program administered by the Corporation for National & Community Service and locally sponsored by Senior Resources of Guilford.
