Harvesting Vegetables for Homeless Children in the OC

We will begin harvesting at 8am sharp so please try to be there a bit early. Between 8:30 and 8:45 is perfect. We'd like to begin promptly at 9:00 to get the maximum amount of harvesting done in the short time.

Dress code is casual. Long sleeves and jeans are encouraged but not required. We will be working in a field harvesting vegetables so be prepared to get dirty. Closed toed shoes are a MUST. Absolutely no open toed shoes, sandals or flip flops.

We will be working in an area with little to no shade so be prepared. It may get hot.

Be prepared to laugh, take pictures and have a great time.

**Our We've Got Your Back program provides nutritional assistance to Orange County children who are identified as homeless under the McKinney-Vento Act. Every week, we distribute more than 1,200 backpacks full of nutritious food to children & families that struggle with food insecurity during the weekend and summer vacation. This is equal to 10 tons of food that goes from our warehouse into the hands of around 5,000 individuals in Orange County.
