Transportation, phoning, and visiting volunteers needed for S/E/Central Tucson

Interfaith Community Services enables frail neighbors to continue living as independently as possible at home through supportive services such as transportation, minor home repairs, friendly visiting, friendly phoning, handy helper, and landscaping clean-up. Our volunteer opportunities are for as little as a few hours per week.

Our greatest need is for volunteers who can transport our senior citizen recipients to medical appointments, pharmacy and grocery store. Most trips will qualify for mileage reimbursement. We are also in need of volunteer for the other services listed above.

Interfaith Community Services is a non-profit agency that helps seniors, disabled individuals and people in financial crisis in Pima County achieve stable and independent lives though support from over 950 volunteers, 109 faith communities and the community-at-large. We share a common belief that our diverse faiths call us to serve those in need. Our services and volunteer opportunities are open and welcoming to all regardless of faith tradition. Description

Our multiple services are often the "safety net" that help our recipients remain or become stabilized, enabling them to lead independent lives. We are providing services for thousands of people in need. Over the past year, we have provided 45,714 services, over 20.034 individuals were served and provided $650,098 of financial services.
