Change a life, it's forever! Want to be a mentor that impacts girls through their Girl Scouting experience? We’re calling on all members of society to help girls reach their full potential.

We're looking for troop committee members to support girls in the Denver area by leading troop activities, a series, or other mentoring activities. Inspire and empower girls ages 5-17 to have a fun and enriching leadership experience as they reach their personal best.

Girl Scouts volunteers come from all walks of life-community leaders, college students, retirees, stay-at-home moms and dads. They use their skills, interests, and life experiences to build girls of courage, confidence, and character. Your interests and life experiences make you the perfect person to be a new kind of role model for girls, someone who creates a safe environment where girls work together and every girl feels free to work toward her highest aspirations.

About Girl Scouts of Colorado

Location:

3801 E. Florida Ave., #720, P.O. Box 9407, Denver, CO 80210, US

Mission Statement

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

Description

Founded in 1912, Girl Scouts of the USA is the preeminent organization for girls with a current membership of 3.6 million girls and adults. Volunteers use their expertise, skills, interests, and life experience to shape fun and enriching leadership experiences for girls, and inspire them to reach their personal best. Volunteers help council staff facilitate the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girls through exciting program opportunities: leadership/self-esteem, financial literacy, travel, health/wellness, science, technology, engineering, and math. Volunteers choose from several flexible pathways (the ways that girls and adults join Girl Scouting) that fit their lifestyles, including short-term or long-term service working either directly or indirectly with girls, and they can participate regionally, nationally, and internationally.
