Resource Protection Projects on the East Bay Shoreline

Description

The Park District is currently looking for volunteers for several habitat restoration projects at a number of our shoreline parks. Park areas include Crown Memorial State Beach in Alameda, Martin L. King Jr Regional Shoreline in Oakland and Miller-Knox and Pt. Isabel Regional Shoreline Parks in Richmond. The work involves removal of various invasive plant species, including ice plant, french broom, fennel and pampas grass. Project work is scheduled once a month on weekend days. Specialized tools wiill be provided as needed. Your hard work on this project will be greatly appreciated by the Park District.
