The SafeChoice Domestic Violence Program provides support services and shelter to women who are victims of domestic abuse and to their children. Support Group Facilitators start up each weekly session, affirm the woman who is sharing, prevent one or two women from monopolizing the group time, discuss safety planning each week, and present topics related to domestic violence issues. At this time, there is a particular need for bilingual Spanish/English facilitators for the Thursday daytime support group. The SafeChoice Program also has a number of other volunteer roles.
