Our cats and kittens are up for adoption, and are carefully matched with potential adopters using an Adoption Application.

Screeners will help us evaluate potential adopters by reviewing the applications and interviewing them by telephone.

• Screeners will be emailed a copy of a new adoption application. They will then review the application carefully, making notes of questions to ask the applicant. The screener will contact the applicant via telephone and conduct an interview. The screener is also responsible for verifying vet references and contacting rental property organizations to verify pets are allowed and that the pet deposit has been, or will be paid. The screener will be asked to evaluate the applicant for an approval or a denial of their application. Training in all areas of Adoption Application Screening will be provided by Cat Angels Pet Adoptions. When the screener becomes comfortable asking the required questions of potential applicants - they are allowed to handle their first application. Training for screeners will be held on site at the Cat Angels Pet Adoptions facility in Cary, NC. Once training is completed, screeners may handle these applications from home via the telephone and email. Screeners are required to have good phone and interpersonal skills.
