This important position helps bring food to those in need. Each food drive provides opportunities for homeless families to shop a wide choice of food the food bank for their needs. Volunteers are pivotal in bringing in a wide variety of food for the many different cultures we serve.
Get a group together, or just you, let everyone know you're doing a drive and collect food. Email for a food bank wish list. Get permission to do one outside a store, get your bosses permission to do it at the office, get your parents permission to go door to door. Whatever it is, just collect as much food as you can and arrange to deliver it, or for us to pick it up. It's that easy.
Knowing you help the YWCA fulfill its mission through the power of volunteering. Advance the quality of life for women of all ages, races and faiths and their families. Learning and sharing culturally with people of all backgrounds. Interaction with families and seeing their successes linked with the program.
