Description
The Accounting Intern will work with Director of Finance and Admission to support the museum's financial objectives. The intern will contribute to the accounting team through completing various accounting and bookkeeping tasks, work with multiple funds and departments, and assist with the design and creation of various financial statement presentations.
The intern will learn about the workings of a mid-sized non-profit organization first hand. Students contemplating work in government or non-profits will find the work especially relevant.
Skills
- * Junior, senior or graduate student in Accounting or similar field * An ideal applicant will have completed Accounting 430 "Government and Not-for-Profit Accounting" * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Well-organized and able to work on a deadline * High commitment to inquiry and learning * Great sense of humor * Superior Excel and data base management skills
