On Saturday and Sundays, the shelter is available for Birthday parties. The volunteer uses shelter supplies to decorate the room and assemble party favors and a gift bag for the birthday child, and breaks down the room at the end of the afternoon. At the beginning of each party the volunteer takes the kids on a fifteen minute tour of the shelter and at the end of the party takes a puppy or kitten downstairs for the kids to pet and or play with.
