The Coalition of Care is a faith-based emergency assistance organization dedicated to reducing the effects of poverty in Licking County by providing financial assistance and encouraging stability through education, advocacy and service.

Our volunteers are the heart of this ministry. All of our clients come in contact with at least two of our trained volunteers.

Mission Statement
The Licking County Coalition of Care's purpose is to offer support and resources not available or not known to be available elsewhere in Licking County for individuals and families in crisis. Crisis is defined as being in immediate need of one or more of the following; food, shelter, clothing and in immediate need of assistance with one or more of the following: paying for housing, utilities, transportation, or necessary medical needs. Support may include spiritual and practical as well as financial assistance. Referrals to Licking County service organizations, churches and programs will be recommended and facilitated as needed.
Description
We are a referral and an emergency assistance organization. We listen to requests for emergency assistance. We address immediate needs. We refer those requesting assistance to existing agencies and programs wherever possible. We look for underlying causes of current emergencies and work to develop long-term solutions. People in need are expected to make appointments and come to our office to be interviewed before action is taken.
