Team Survivor Northwest is a nonprofit organization that provides a broad range of fitness and health education programs to enable women cancer survivors, in any stage of treatment or recovery, to take an active role in their ongoing physical and emotional healing. TSNW is seeking an experienced Social Media Specialist to attract and interact with targeted virtual communities and networks users. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference for an organization that has a positive impact on the ongoing survivorship of women who have been diagnosed and treated for cancer.

The ideal person for this position will have a combination of experience, capabilities & love for social media. TSNW's main goal is to gradually achieve more community engagement with members and the community at large. The Social Media Specialist should have a solid understanding of how each social media platform works and how to optimize content so that it is engaging on those platforms. Messaging should represent TSNW's priorities and values.

The candidate should have empathy and a passion for helping others, particularly women with cancer and understand the needs of a population regaining their health and strength. Our members have a variety of fitness needs, social/emotional needs, are of varying ages and backgrounds and this person should do their best to represent that diversity in different posts. At times, this role may require representing the organization to create partnerships and connections in the online community. This person will work closely with the Communications Manager.
