ORGANIZATION: Perkins

Perkins School for the Blind is building a world where people with complex disabilities and visual impairments can learn and thrive.

We are seeking volunteers to support concert events with students which could include any of the following:
event logistics; seating concert guests; handing out Braille, large print and print programs; acting as a human guide for guests or students; acting as a student support, helping welcome guests at entrances to the build.

We are seeking help for the following dates and times:

Wednesday May 8: 8:45am-11:40pm

Wednesday May 8: (if possible same volunteers as am) 5pm-9pm

Thursday May 9: 9:45am-10:45am

Wednesday May 15: 6pm-8:30pm

Wednesday May 29: 6pm-9pm

Monday June 3: 6pm-8pm

Tuesday July 2: 9:45-10:45am

Thursday July 11: 9:45-10:45am

Wednesday July 17: 6pm-9pm

Description

Perkins is building a world where people with complex disabilities and visual impairments can learn and thrive in Watertown and around the world. Support us with your talents! One-time and repeat in-person and remote opportunities available. Contact volunteers@perkins.org to learn more. We are seeking carpenters, gardeners, support for filing, library stacks support, tutors, videographers, student center support, classroom buddies and more.
