Join the Ontario City Library’s Veterans Resource Center team!

The library’s Veteran Resource Center is seeking volunteers to assist veterans and their families connect to information about various benefits, services, and available resources.

Volunteers will commit to at least one 3-hour shift per week for at least 6 months and provide information and referral assistance to veterans and their family members.

Volunteers will be trained to greet and conduct walk-in and scheduled appointments with veterans and their family members, referring them to information regarding healthcare, housing, employment, education, Veterans Affairs claims and benefits and other resources.

The ideal volunteer must be patient and empathetic, have good listening skills, and be able to maintain confidentiality and respect personal boundaries
