ORGANIZATION: Crohn's & Colitis Foundation - Greater NY Chapter

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 2 people are interested

Join the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation’s largest, most impactful fundraising event Take Steps. We'll come together as a dedicated community of supporters to walk and raise funds for those living with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Funds raised through Take Steps help to accelerate research, advance treatments, and provide education and support programs to improve quality of life for those living with IBD. Together, we’ll make our way to the top of Mt. Remission and our ultimate goal: cures for Crohn’s disease & ulcerative colitis.

The event itself is a large festival celebration of food, games, entertainment, and informational tables for about 800+ participants, culminating in a walk down the NYC promenade and back.

Volunteers will help us offer an unforgettable experience to our supporters.
The first shift will arrive before the festivities begin. Volunteers will learn the layout and be assigned to work at different areas.
The second shift will be our spirit shift - lining up the start line and route to cheer our walkers as they go by.
They can act as guides and give out water.
The third shift will help with the breakdown and clean up.
