The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is looking for new volunteers to assist with local support groups.

As a volunteer, you'll help coordinate with the Family Support Group Facilitators to send reminder emails to registered attendees, provide facilitators with updated LLS resources and information, and/or help individuals register for support groups.

This is an excellent opportunity to maintain or enhance office skills and to learn new database management. By supporting Family Support Group Facilitators, you are freeing up time they can dedicate to patients and family members in need.

Mission Statement

The mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. We work tirelessly to find cures and ensure patients can access the lifesaving treatments they need. When someone experiences the fear and uncertainty of a blood cancer diagnosis, we provide hope, compassion, education and support. Our impact is felt beyond blood cancer. The breakthrough treatments we helped advance for blood cancers are now improving the lives of people affected by many types of cancer.

Description

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's South Florida and Puerto Rico Region was founded in 1972 to serve residents who have been touched by one of the blood cancers: leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
