Meals on Wheels delivers just over 1,500 meals a day to isolated seniors in Salt Lake County. This life sustaining accomplishment could not be completed without the support of our most valuable players, volunteers like you.

We offer two volunteer opportunities in your community: Regular Route Volunteers who can make a commitment of one workday per week, and Back-up Meals on Wheels Volunteers who can make a commitment of at least one workday per month to fill in for regular route volunteers as your schedule allows.

Each Meals on Wheels route has between 6-13 seniors, takes approximately one hour to deliver, and may be delivered anytime between 10:00am and 2:00pm, Monday - Friday. Plan to use your own vehicle. You are required to use our Mobile Meals app, which can be downloaded to your smartphone. We do not have volunteer opportunities on the weekends, evenings, or in the kitchen. All volunteers must complete a background check and volunteer orientation.
