When you arrive (7am):
- Turn on lights
- Get Front Desk Phone
- Check for any voicemails, make call backs if appropriate.
- Familiarize yourself with any new guest info shared with you via guest list.
As guests arrive:
- Help guests with any needs or physical items
- Ask "Rotation" guests if they need the van that evening
Throughout your shift:
- Ensure building is secure through periodic monitoring of exits, walking halls, etc.
- Complete the following tasks each shift:
- DONATIONS:
- Sort and put away any new donations
- Organize supply closet as needed
- Alert staff via shelter report if any supplies are running low
- FRIDGE/CABINETS:
- Purge any old food
- Organize fridge and community food area
- SANITIZE/WIPE DOWN:
- Kitchen tables and countertops
- Light switches/door handles
- Bathroom sinks
- Bathroom faucets
- Toilet handles
- SWEEP/MOP common areas as needed.
- TRASH:
- Check for trash and take to dumpster if full or smelly.
- Take recycling to dumpster if needed.
- Replace with new trash bag.
- LAUNDRY:
- Check if any sheets, towels, mop heads, etc. need to be laundered
- Fold and put away clean laundry
- RESTOCK:
- Paper towels in kitchen
- Soap, toilet paper, paper towels, hygiene products in bathrooms
- DONATIONS:
1 Shift

You will be greeting and checking in our families, maintaining the DaySite, assisting familes with computers, children, etc.

Description
Family Promise of Greater Denver provides shelter, meals, rental assistance, and supportive services to families experiencing homelessness in the Denver area. We also work with families on employment, long-term housing solutions and other goals to ensure self-sufficiency and a brighter future.
Family Promise of Greater Denver began serving homeless families in 1997 and is part of a national network of 180+ affiliates. Since our founding, we’ve helped more than 1,000 families, including 1,900 children. Today, an average of 70% of families leave with housing and 85% of adults secure employment while they’re in the program!

- This is a five hour shift each Saturday. You can choose which Saturdays are best for you.
- Be trauma informed, able to pass a background check, physically able to move and lift up to 20lbs, organized, on-time, a good communicator, and willingness to work with families experiencing homelessness.
