Position type: Part-time Unpaid Internship

Location: Buena Park, California

The Biomedical Equipment Technician Intern will work under the general supervision of the International Project Director. Candidate should have a minimum of 1 year hands-on experience trouble-shooting and repairing biomedical equipment, familiarity with general Medical Technologies and Patient Related Electrical Safety, Experience with basic computer functions.

Specific tasks would include:

• Inspects all in-coming equipment.
• Ensures that an inventory of biomedical equipment and replacement parts are in inventory for repairs.
• Performs and documents biomedical equipment repairs before items are released for use in under-served communities around the world.
• Ensures that all safety requirements are being met.

Giving Children Hope is an international faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to relief and sustainable medical development projects in economically disadvantaged parts of the world. Additionally, GCH operates a number of local programs to meet the needs of those in Orange County, California.
