You can be a hero or heroine! We have Care Receivers who need crucial rides to appointments for: dialysis, chemo and radiation. This is especially true since COVID-19 impacted our area. Our Care Receivers are always grateful for the help our wonderful volunteers provide and they look forward to meeting and building strong bonds with our volunteers. This is your chance to make a difference and make friends, all at the same time!

These appointments are both in eastern and western Loudoun County. Social distancing guidelines and safety precautions observed. Cloth masks and nitrile gloves provided.

Loudoun Volunteer Caregivers is a community of volunteers helping frail elderly and adults with disabilities to maintain independence and quality of life.

Description

Loudoun Volunteer Caregivers is a member of the National Caregivers Network. We provide services that enable frail seniors and adults with disabilities to maintain independence and quality of life. Our services include:

  1. Assisted transportation to medical appointments
  2. Supportive services, such as grocery shopping, food bank delivery, errands, simple home repairs, friendly visiting
  3. Assistance with personal money management, such as bill payinging, representative payee service, and BenefitsOutreach assessments.
