About:
The foodbank assistant volunteer will help load, unload & store weekly food deliveries. You would travel to the Foodbank, Dollar General, Sam's Club, and other community partners who provide ACCESS with food alongside an ACCESS staff member to help load vehicles and unload once returning to the shelter.

Requirements:

  • Clean driving record
  • Background check
  • Lifting, bending and carrying items up and downstairs
Impact:
This volunteer will help ACCESS keep our food pantries stocked

1 Shift

  • morning / 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM
    This volunteer role is available each Wednesday

Description

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF ACCESS?

  • To provide emergency shelter services for women and children.
  • To link women and existing resources in the community.
  • To aid in the attainment of an independent future.
  • To assist in alleviating the situation that caused them to seek emergency shelter.
Women may be in need of emergency shelter for many reasons including eviction, unemployment, transiency, utility disconnections and all types of crisis circumstances.
