About:
This ideal volunteer will assist residents while shopping by locating the merchandise they like, replenish merchandise when it is low, organize areas of the boutique where and when needed, merchandise the boutique’s products, and clean. Requirements:

  • Great customer service
  • Guide and offer advice to residents on merchandise selections
  • Keep boutique tidy
  • Restock inventory when low

Impact:
This is one of our front-facing volunteer opportunities that work directly with our residents. Volunteers get to assist the ladies with everything from shopping for finer clothing and fashion accessories to choosing inspirational journals, brain games & adult coloring books. This can be used as a great self-esteem building experience for our residents.

2 Shifts

  • morning / 09:30 AM to 11:00 AM
    This volunteer role is available each Wednesday
  • evening / 05:30 PM to 07:00 PM
    This volunteer role is available each Wednesday

Description

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF ACCESS?

  • To provide emergency shelter services for women and children.
  • To link women and existing resources in the community.
  • To aid in the attainment of an independent future.
  • To assist in alleviating the situation that caused them to seek emergency shelter.
Women may be in need of emergency shelter for many reasons including eviction, unemployment, transiency, utility disconnections and all types of crisis circumstances.
