Do you get joy from being around infants and toddlers? Are you 19 years old or older?
If so, keep reading...
We are in a search of dynamic, patient, team-players to support our awesome child development program on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays!
Family Support Prince George's provides comprehensive, multigenerational wraparound support for immigrant families with children ages 0-4. The core services (provided at no cost) include, but are not limited to: ESL (English as a Second Language) classes, employment readiness workshops, health education, PACT (Parents and Children Together) activities, mental health support through individual and group therapy sessions, parent support group, an infant and toddler program (that's where you come in!), and extensive service coordination.
You would be a vital support in our infant and toddler program doing some of the following with direct supervision and support from the Child Development Specialist and the Child Development Teacher:
-help with snack time
-lead and/or participate in story time
-monitor infants and toddlers in the classroom ensuring their safety and engagement
-play with infants and toddlers to support their curiosity as developmentally appropriate
-other tasks to support the flow of the class schedule
Please note: you will NOT be responsible for diapering or changing children since our program model calls for our parent participants to diaper their respective children.
If you are interested, we would love to have a chat to see if our program needs align with your skillset.
Please contact Nathalie Coward, Deputy Director at ncoward@childresource.org for more information and to schedule a time to connect.
