ORGANIZATION: MARION COUNTY RETIRED & SENIOR VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

  • 7 people are interested

The Start Making a Reader Today (SMART) program is seeking readers at Lincoln, Washington, and Nellie Muir Elementary Schools in Woodburn for the 2015-16 school year, with reading beginning in October 2015. Volunteers are needed to read one-on-one with K-3rd grade children who need literacy support. This on-on-one relationship gives children the attention, self-confidence, and skills to succeed in school and beyond. Materials, training and support will be provided. For more information, or to sign-up as a volunteer, please contact Beth Faulhaber at beth.faulhaber@ci.woodburn.or.us or by phone at 503-982-5388.
