Greet visitors, take in admission fees, and hand out trail maps while enjoying the changing seasons and great views at our nature sanctuary on the shores of Lake Michigan. Booth is heated and has electricity. You may bring knitting, word/number puzzles, homework, whatever for when it's quiet. Students can earn service hours for club or school. Training provided for this easy but important task.

Mission Statement

Description
Schlitz Audubon Nature Center offers a wide range of educational programs for toddlers through senior citizens. Schlitz Audu bon’s sustainable Gold LEED certified Educational Center is situated on 185 acres along the shores of Lake Michigan, just 10 miles north of downtown Milwaukee. We have 6 miles of trails for hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and a 60-foot observation tower overlooking Lake Michigan. The nature preserve encompasses nearly all landforms and ecological communities that occur in southeastern Wisconsin, including the lakeshore, woodlands, marshes, prairies, bluffs, ponds and ravines.
Schlitz Audubon is an independent, locally supported partner of National Audubon Society. We work together in the areas of environmental education and avian conservation.
