Are you looking for healthcare opportunities where you can support patients? You must be 18 for in-clinic roles. Do you want to build patient relationship skills? Are you looking for options where you can be part of a care team, or to give back to the kidney community? Together, we can make life better for those living with kidney disease.

Become a Companion today! Companions connect with patients during dialysis treatment, helping us combat social isolation through conversation and short activities.

When you engage as a Companion, staff can concentrate on the clinical needs they are uniquely trained to do, while patients get the direct attention they crave. Together, we are a better team, more able to address patient social needs during our busiest times.

If you are interested in gaining skills in customer service, are thinking about a career in healthcare or dialysis, or just want to work with a team to assist a kidney patient, this opportunity is for you!

Mission Statement

Our Mission: Making life better for those living with kidney disease. Our Values: Compassion, Trust, Quality, Teamwork, and Innovation.

Description

Satellite: A simple idea that changed the way people received treatment.

In the 1960s and early 1970s, people living on dialysis often traveled great distances, three times a week, to a regional medical center for their life-sustaining treatments.

Dr. Norm Coplon, Satellite Healthcare’s founder, believed it was possible to offer individualized dialysis care in a friendlier, more comfortable environment, closer to where people lived.

With just six patients, the first Satellite dialysis center opened March 1 st, 1974. The little center, tucked away in a quiet San José, California neighborhood, was the start of a collaborative, energetic spirit that spurred a series of innovations and opportunities.

Today, Satellite Healthcare has more than 2,800 employees caring for about 8,300 patients. Our 80+ centers are located in five states - California, Texas, Tennessee, New Jersey, and Hawaii.

As we celebrate our past, we look to what the future holds and to the many more lives we’ll be able to touch with high-quality, individualized kidney care.
