Fresh Food Pick-up/Delivery (Channel One)

FSR Fresh is a Family Service Rochester initiative created in response to COVID-19 and community food insecurities. FSR receives food donations, orders food from organizations/grocery stores, and distributes food to local seniors. We are looking for volunteers to help pick up Channel One food order and deliver to our south office location. This is a much needed service, and you would play a VITAL role!

Details

• Pick-up/Delivery volunteers pick-up varying loads of ordered food from Channel One and deliver it to FSR South.
• Larger vehicle (SUV, etc.) recommended - the order is usually able to fit in a truck bed, the trunk of a cleaned-out car, or an SUV - usually 5 to 10 boxes, depending on what was ordered.
• Once the food donations are delivered to the south office, we do ask that the volunteer then places cold items into the Fresh refrigerator.
• Specific instructions will be provided to the registered volunteer prior to their shift.

Time & Locations

• Order pick-up time: 8:30am on Wednesdays
• Order pick-up location: Channel One (131 35th St SE, Rochester, MN 55904)
• Delivery location: FSR South Office (1625 Highway 14 E, Rochester, MN 55904)
