ORGANIZATION: Full Life Care

Volunteer with Full LIfe Care's Get Active Program (GAP), a day health program for adults (18 to 80) with developmental disabilities. The GAP program is designed to increase socialization, develop life skills and help people maintain independence while providing respite for caregivers.

We call it the Get Active Program for a reason - there's never a dull moment! Participants enjoy a variety of fun group activities such as art, reading, nail care, beadwork, karaoke, balloon volleyball, field trips (and more!), with the added benefit of nursing and occupational therapy, and exercise.

Volunteers assist staff by greeting clients as they arrive, visiting with them one on one, helping to set up & implement activities, and serving meals. We especially need volunteers from 1:30-5:45pm to help with the final activity of the day, dinner clean-up and to keep participants company while they wait for rides.

We ask for a 3 month commitment of weekly 2 hour visits.
