Living History Performer volunteers are needed and encouraged to apply. These folks portray characters from the inspiring past at Historic Spanish Point. We need men and women ages 50 and up to re-enact some of the amazing pioneers who lived here. Women like Bertha Palmer, the wealthy Chicago socialite and land developer; Eliza Webb who left her comfortable home in New York to travel to undeveloped 1860's Florida; Mary Sherrill, Mabel Webb and other 19th and early 20th century men and women of the past.
Performances are during "season" which runs November through April. Personal calendars taken into account. Easy scripts are available and executed in our relaxed and beautiful outdoor settings on Historic Spanish Point's 30 acre site. A variety of costumes are provided. The museum receives multiple requests for these costumed interpreters. Come join the fun - your history lessons are free of charge!
