Gentle Touch

AccentCare hospice is looking for individuals who are interested in calling new hospice patients/families to check in on their first week. We want to make sure our patients and families feel supported and have their questions answered during their first week of hospice services. Volunteers will reach out each week to new admissions and ask them a series of questions to gauge how they are doing. They will then report back to Volunteer Services of any concerns or needs that arise. We will provide volunteers with a script that they can base their conversations off of.

Do you have time each week to call some new hospice patients and families to let them know someone cares? Can you help make the first week of hospice services just a little smoother by being a listening ear? Calls will be made from the comfort of your own home on your own time.
