The Neighborhood Resource Center is seeking creative individuals to lead art classes one day per week during our summer program. We are a grass roots non-profit organization located in the Fulton Hill Neighborhood promoting educational and cultural resources to youth. The summer program operates for 10 weeks from June 22nd to August 27th running Monday-Thursday from 2:30-6:00 with classes being held from 5:00-6:00. We are in need of volunteers who are comfortable coming up with their own art projects to implement as well as volunteers to assist teachers during class time. Supplies are provided.

Description

The Neighborhood Resource Center is a grassroots educational and cultural center fostering personal growth and community change. The Neighborhood Resource Center has a Montessori Preschool for children that are 2 1/2- 5 years old. The NRC also offers a wide range of educational and creative arts programs for youth aged 6 and up. Lastly, the NRC provides continuing education and career support services, encourages healthy living habits, and provides opportunities for adults to become more active in the community.
