The Apple Valley Food Shelf is in partnership with 360 Communities. The Food Shelf is a SuperShelf food program, meaning we strive to offer a wide variety of fresh and healthy food options in a welcoming environment.
Having excellent volunteers enhances our ability to destigmatize the food shelf shopping experience by providing great customer service to clients.
We have a variety of shifts and positions open at the Apple Valley Food Shelf. Please take a look at the shifts below and reach out if you have any questions.
Monday help needed:
9:30-12:00pm
Monday Truck Delivery: requires no client contact. Unload food items, stock shelves, refrigerators and freezers. Must be able to lift 40#. Commitment twice per month.
Tuesday help needed:
8:30-12:00pm
Rescue Support Volunteer: Requires no client contact. Receive grocery store food, check dates, and stock shelves. Commitment twice per month.
10:00-1:30pm or 1:00-4:30pm
Food shelf Volunteer: Stock/sort/pre-pack and shop with clients. Commitment twice per month
Thursday help needed:
8:30-12:00pm

LOOKING FOR SPANISH TRANSLATORS TO HELP AT OUR FOOD SHELF
**Are you bilingual?
**Are you a student learning Spanish in school?
We would love to have you come in and help out as we have many Spanish-speaking clients that we would like to fully serve.
Shifts with translator needs:
Tuesday: 10-1pm
Tuesday: 1:30-3:30pm
Thursday: 10-1pm
Thursday: 1:30-3:30pm
Saturday: 9-12:00pm
We can work with your schedule depending on your time available.

Description
Founded more than 40 years ago by a group of volunteers, 360 Communities provides hope and support to more than 17,500 individuals each year with services in over 40 locations, including a network of five food shelves, two resource centers, two sexual and domestic violence shelters, and two programs that support school success from birth through high school graduation. About 1,000 volunteers donate their time, energy and talent in support of 360 Communities every year.
360 Communities delivers a full circle of support to families through its strong network of programs, resources, and community partners. No matter how a person enters 360 Communities, staff and volunteers engage them to identify the root causes of their problems and provide resources to help them onto a path toward self-sustained success.
