Oversees the toner/ink and cell phone recycling fundraiser program for the Bedford Humane Society by actively promoting the program within the community. This program helps the environment by keeping old cell phones and toner cartridges out of the landfill while also raising much needed funds for animal programs.

  • Places signs, posters or collection boxes in businesses that support BHS.
  • Promotes the program through the media and at special events
  • Solicits the support of local community and environmental groups such as churches, schools, clubs, youth groups and civic organizations.
  • Monitors, collects and ships phones and toners. All supplies need are provided by the recycling company.

The Bedford Humane Society Inc. offers a variety of programs to assist pets and pet owners in Bedford City and County.

On June 5th, 2009 we purchased a 3.4 acre property at 829 Ole Turnpke Drive in Bedford. The house will be converted to offices. We have received approval from the City of Bedford to construct a 6,000 sq ft no kill, limited admission animal adoption center on the property. The facility will be named after its benefactor, The Vernon D Lybolt Jr. Adoption Center.
