Brief Summary of Work for this Position

The Corporate Partnership Development Specialist will play a key role in the launch of our new signature corporate giving program, the Children’s Health Coalition. (CHC). This initiative will bring together business leaders, academic centers, medical practices and innovative industry to leverage their collective goodwill and achieve something under this philanthropic umbrella that could not be accomplished alone. As a member of the Children’s Health Coalition, they will be able to amplify they impact to reduce child mortality in low-and middle-income countries by increasing access to life-saving vaccines.

The value of vaccines goes far beyond the prevention of illness and disease. Good health is a gateway to improved educational outcomes, gender equity, and social and economic prosperity.

Vaccine Ambassadors offers a positive collaborative environment where individuals and ideas are valued. This meaningful volunteer position will be remote and the retain the flexibility to work around the individual’s ongoing commitments and schedule. The Corporate Partnership Development Specialist will work directly alongside our Executive Director to ensure strong internal support.

Summary of the position:

  • Assist in the creation of a seamless corporate giving model
  • Co-manage a comprehensive corporate giving program to engage and inspire ongoing philanthropic support
  • Coordinate strategies to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward members
  • Participate in the coordination of research efforts to identify potential members and strategic partnerships
  • Develop a strong understanding of niche industries who would benefit from being a CHC member
  • Set ambitious achievable goals
  • Secure inaugural members of the CHC.
  • Communicate the impact and value of being a CHC member
  • Collaborate with the ED on effective engagement opportunities
  • Cultivate relationships with decision-makers through personalized outreach, meetings and events
  • Identify opportunities to recognize and acknowledge CHC members
  • Act as a trusted representative for our organization

Skills & Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of three years of professional frontline sales/development experience in either the for-profit or nonprofit sector
  • Successful track record of creating high value sponsorship programs or similar types of initiatives
  • Ability to translate ideas into actionable strategies and effectively collaborate with others to achieve shared objectives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, relationship-building, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work interdependently and independently in a collaborative environment
  • Understanding of the landscape across healthcare industries, especially in North Carolina and the Research Triangle
  • Out of the box ideating, ability to vision to development opportunities outside of common spaces.

Description

Vaccine Ambassadors is a North Carolina-based 501 (c)3 nonprofit, established in 2015 by healthcare providers and children's health advocates who believe that access to vaccines is a basic human right.

Through a joint initiative, Facilitating Equitable Access to Vaccines in the Americas, with our partners at the Pan American Health Organization, Regional Office of the World Health Organization for the Americas, Vaccine Ambassadors funds the purchase and international logistics of high-quality vaccines for children and families residing in Latin America and the Caribbean. Through this initiative we have provided 1 million vaccines covering 12 different diseases in 12 countries.
