We're seeking a dedicated Grant Writer to support our fundraising efforts. The perfect candidate will possess an exceptional talent for persuasive writing, a flair for storytelling, and a proven track record in the grant application process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research: Identify grant opportunities that align with our organization's mission and objectives.
- Grant Writing: Craft compelling grant proposals that highlight our projects, needs, and anticipated outcomes.
- Liaison: Work closely with our team to gather the necessary information and data required for each application.
- Submission: Ensure timely submission of grant proposals, adhering to each grant's specific guidelines and deadlines.
- Follow-up: Monitor application status and maintain communication with granting organizations when necessary.
- Record Keeping: Document all submitted, accepted, and rejected grant applications for future reference.
Qualifications:
- Prior grant writing experience preferred
- Exceptional written communication skills with an ability to narrate our story compellingly.
- Detail-oriented with strong research skills.
- Familiarity with Hometown Security and the protection of civil liberties causes is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated and reliable.
