COVID-19 Update: Effective May 11, 2022, Habitat EBSV no longer requires in-person volunteers to show proof of vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test. We ask unvaccinated volunteers to continue to wear a mask while working indoors or when they cannot socially distance, and all volunteers to continue to abide by state and local guidelines. Thank you for helping keep our community safe.
For safety reasons, all volunteers at our sites or ReStores must be at least 16 years old. All volunteers under the age of 18 must bring a signed minor waiver form with them to the site. Minor waiver forms are available here: Habitat for Humanity Minor Volunteer Waiver - 2023.pdf (habitatebsv.org)
Pallesen Apartments (San Jose): Habitat was recently presented with an opportunity to preserve the historic Pallesen Apartments, and build more affordable housing, by moving the 4-unit building 2.5 blocks away to its new home at Fourth and Reed Streets. Now, help Habitat as we renovate the homes and ready them for their new owners!
- Wear work clothes and sturdy, close-toed shoes. Bring a lunch (if applicable to your shift timing) and a refillable water bottle. Any necessary tools, safety equipment, and training are provided on your volunteer day.
