We are an independent, non-profit education program providing services for the hotel workers in Local 26. a union for hotel workers. All of our highly motivated clients work in local hotels (many in entry level jobs), and are interested in furthering their careers in the hotel industry. Most are non-native speakers with little or no computer experience. Some are a little more proficient. A volunteer would assist students one-on-one during "open lab" (drop in)times now scheduled for Tuesdays beginning Jan. 27 , from 5:30-7:30. S/he would help with whatever skills the student is interested in learning or practicing. There is a possibility that a student would need help with filling out on-line applications for hotel work. However, at this moment, that opportunity is just being discussed and we are not ready to offer it to our students.
