Austin LifeCare is in need of Front Desk Assistants to answer phones and greet clients and visitors during business hours. These volunteers will supplement coverage of the front desk by a part-time staff member. Duties will include answering phones, greeting clients and visitors, scheduling appointments, some administrative duties, and special project assistance.

Weekly commitment can vary depending on willingness and availability. Normal range would be 2-3 hours.

Description

Austin LifeCare is a faith-based, multi-denominational non-profit organization dedicated to transforming lives through education and services that empower life-affirming choices regarding sexual activity and pregnancy. ALC seeks to promote positive solutions to the challenges surrounding unplanned pregnancy through prevention, intervention and restoration.

PREVENTION -The Austin LifeGuard Character and Sexuality Education program teaches character-based sexual risk avoidance to area middle and high school students.

INTERVENTION - LifeCare Preganancy Services meets the needs of women, men and their familes who are facing an unplanned pregnancy. Services include pregnancy testing, limited ultrasound, classes, mentors, and material assistance. All services are free of charge.

RESTORATION - The LifeChange program provides support for the spiritual, emotional and psychological effects that can occur after an abortion or sexual abuse experience.
