Patients with terminal illness need some psychosocial support like story telling, singing, grocery shopping and preparing meals for the patient. Hospice volunteers will also do some paper works in the office.

Description

New Haven Hospice Care is a community resource licensed by Medicare, Medi-Cal and accredited with the JCAHO (Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization) The Agency provides hospice and palliative treatment that cares for people with terminal illness and their families within their homes, nursing homes or residential care facilities.

New Haven Hospice Care, Inc. provides the following services:

  1. Physician services
  2. Nursing services by licensed nurses available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on-call emergency situations.
  3. Dietary counseling
  4. Psychosocial counseling like bereavement and spiritual services
  5. Social work services
  6. Physical, Occupational and Speech language therapy
  7. Durable Medical Equipment and supplies
  8. Hospice medicines for pain and symptom management
  9. Volunteer services
