Brighten a senior's week by becoming a Friendly Visitor!
Spend quality time together doing activities you both enjoy. Whether you're playing games, reading, or sharing stories, your companionship makes a world of difference. Once-a-week visits usually last one hour, and a three-month commitment is required. We have a long list of seniors who want to be connected with people like you! Sign up, and make a difference today.
Friendly Helper
Looking to make a difference? Volunteer to assist homebound seniors with errands as a Meals on Wheels Diablo Region Friendly Helper!
Make a positive impact by picking up prescriptions, groceries, and essentials. Your time ensures their well-being. Seniors reimburse Friendly Helpers for any item purchased. Friendly Helpers agree to do at least two errands each month and requires a three-month commitment. We have a long list of seniors wanting to get connected with people like you! Sign up, and make a difference today.
Friendly Caller
Become a Friendly Caller and bring companionship to seniors through meaningful conversations. Your calls provide a lifeline to those who might be isolated.
Make someone's day brighter, one conversation at a time. Friendly Callers offer telephone companionship to seniors twice a week, with calls ranging from 15-30 minutes. We require a three-month commitment. We have a long list of seniors who want to get connected with people like you! Sign up and make a difference today.

For more than 50 years, Meals on Wheels Diablo Region has improved the lives of vulnerable seniors living in Contra Costa County by delivering nutritious meals and wraparound services that allow seniors to remain in their homes, safely and with dignity. As a full-service organization, we are dedicated to addressing all of the needs of the seniors we serve. In addition to meal delivery, we provide exercise and fall prevention classes, home safety modifications, elder abuse prevention, and much more. Meals on Wheels Diablo Region is the only Meals on Wheels that delivers both meals and services to seniors in Contra Costa County. Thousands of people every year reach out to us for help. Whether it's a meal delivery or a wraparound service, Meals on Wheels Diablo Region Delivers Reliably!
