Weekend Helpers Needed for Playland Fun Museum

Playland-Not-at-the-Beach has several areas where guests (children through senior citizens) play challenging carnival games, penny arcade devices and pinball machines. As they play, guests win tickets, and then later they trade in their accumulated tickets for prizes. We need volunteers to run the games, assist with prize redemption, and help keep the facility clean.

This volunteer opportunity is available when we are open to the public (weekends 10:00am-5:00pm) and for special events.

Fluent in English: Must be able to fluently speak English.

Outgoing and Positive Personality: Must have a love of children, have a pleasant personality, and the ability to applaud and shout whenever a child wins tickets or a prize.

Run Carnival Games and Award Prizes: Needs the ability to learn easy instructions for each game, be able to organize the prizes and put point values on each one, and help the guests count their tickets.

Photo Identification: All volunteers must provide valid legal photo identification (school IDs are valid for youth under 18-years of age).

Background: All volunteers must be approved to volunteer by a member of the Board of Directors and go through a background check.

This volunteer opportunity is available when we are open to the public (weekends 10:00am-5:00pm) and for special events. (Summer hours: Monday-Thursday 12:00pm-8:00pm & Saturday-Sunday 10:00am-5:00pm.)

Community service paperwork and/or timesheet required at training. Volunteer registration form required for all volunteers (can be found at http://www.playland-not-at-the-beach.org/volunteers.html). Volunteers under 18-years of age need a parent or guardian with them at the beginning of training (volunteers under 14-yeard of age need a parent or guardian to volunteer with them).
