Volunteers bring light back into their lives by providing services such as trips to the grocery store, telephone reassurance calls, visits, escorts to doctor appointments, home safety checks and more. Jacobs Creek Area Faith in Action is a program of the United Way of Westmoreland County. Our Mission is to enhance the quality of life for persons 60 years and older by providing companionship and assistance. Servicing Scottdale, Mt. Pleasant, Alverton, Everson, New Stanton and surrounding municipalities.
Description
Trained volunteers provide free services to seniors such as helpful visits, telephone reassurance calls, escorts to doctor appointments, grocery shopping, caregiver relief, correspondence assistance, and home safety checks.
