Volunteer United/AmeriCorps Seniors is a program of United Way that recruits volunteers for non-profit agencies in Martin County.

The mission of the organization where this opportunity is to collect, preserve and share the history of Martin County; to provide fresh, eclectic, and relevant exhibitions and engagements for our guest; to assure that the museums are vital, responsive, and agile community gathering places that nurture an environment of creative collaboration; to serve as a catalyst for economic, artistic and cultural development, and tot continuously earn the honor of being a point of pride for our community.

Docents and Tour Guides are needed to show guests around and share the history and importance of the location with guests.

Requirements include liking history, enjoy meeting new people from across the globe, enjoy an easy, casual environment with guests from around the world and have fun.

Volunteers are needed Monday - Saturday or 1:00pm - 4:00pm
or Sunday 1:00pm - 4:00pm.

One shift per week for 3 hours is required. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and walking on uneven surfaces.
