Welcome & Hospitality Volunteer
Initiative: Thrive
Impact area: Children and youth
Locations: Manchester, CT
Hours: Saturdays, 9:00am-10:30pm
Desired level of commitment: Seasonal, 6-week session (Spring session ends May 4)
Duration: 6 weeks
Age requirement: 18+
Tasks may include:
*Setting up and taking down the welcome area each week which way include sign-in sheets, name tags for families and volunteers, give aways, and diapers
* Greeting families and volunteers as they arrive
* Orienting families to the location of room assignments and bathrooms
* Giving out weekly materials
* Having everyone sign-in and wear a name tag
In order to volunteer you should be:
* A registered UAServe volunteer (you will have a chance to register if you haven't already)
* Willing to attend an orientation and training prior to volunteering
* Willing to submit a background check
* Open to an ongoing volunteer opportunity that works with your schedule
* Able to provide own transportation to workshop
* Responsible, warm, friendly, organized and dependable
