Are you a proactive, community-minded individual looking to make a meaningful impact? Join our team as a Host Committee Member and play a vital role in organizing and executing our upcoming Maya's Hope Lotus Ball! As a Host Committee Member, you'll be an essential part of a dynamic group of individuals dedicated to creating unforgettable evening and supporting a worthy cause.

Responsibilities:

  1. Event Planning: Collaborate with fellow committee members to brainstorm event ideas, plan logistics, and execute successful events that align with our organization's mission and goals.

  2. Outreach and Engagement: Utilize your networking skills and social connections to promote our events within the mom's group and wider community. Encourage attendance and participation from diverse backgrounds.

  3. Fundraising Support: Assist in fundraising efforts by reaching out to potential sponsors, donors, and attendees. Help secure in-kind donations for events and spread awareness about our fundraising campaigns.

  4. Event Day Support: Be present and actively involved during event days to ensure smooth operations, registration assistance, and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for attendees.

  5. Marketing and Promotion: Utilize social media platforms and local networks to help spread the word about our events, initiatives, and Maya's Hope's mission.

  6. Brainstorming and Feedback: Share your creative ideas and suggestions during committee meetings, contributing to the overall growth and improvement of our events and organization.

Requirements:

  • A passion for community engagement and a genuine desire to make a positive impact.
  • Availability to actively participate in planning meetings and contribute
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of volunteers and donors.
  • Reliable and committed to fulfilling the responsibilities of the role.
