Are you a music enthusiast with a passion for attending live performances? Do you thrive on sharing your enthusiasm for music with others? HI New York City is looking for passionate volunteers to lead weekly outings for travelers staying at our NYC hostel. This is an opportunity to share and showcase the diverse and vibrant music scene of the city with international visitors.

From jazz and blues clubs in Harlem to indie rock venues in Brooklyn, you'll have the opportunity to guide guests to a multitude of thrilling live music events throughout the city, highlighting the vast array of options available in New York's vibrant music scene. Provide insights into the local music history and connect guests with emerging talent in genres ranging from hip-hop to classical. Our volunteers have full creative freedom to design the most unforgettable experiences. Your contribution will not only showcase the diverse and vibrant music scene of the city but also contribute to the cultural enrichment and joy of our guests, allowing you to make a meaningful impact while sharing your love for music as a local.

Our bustling NYC hostel hosts travelers from across the globe! Our activities aim to teach travelers about New York's rich history, the culture of our local communities/neighborhoods, and of the greater United States.

HI USA is 501(c)(3) non-profit education association. Our purpose is to "inspire a deeper understanding of people places and cultures for a more tolerant world." As a non-profit, the revenues we receive through overnight stays and memberships is reinvested in mission delivery.
