Join us at The Actors Theatre Workshop, an award-winning theater and community center with a 33-year history!


We seek experienced, organized, and efficient individuals who can take a leadership role and contribute to the numerous and wide ranging administrative duties needed to successfully run a theater and community service organization. Experience in theater administration would be welcome, but is not a requirement.


Responsibilities include:


  • Interacting on the telephone with suppliers and donors of goods and materials, and taking inventory of all required supplies
  • Using desktop publishing to create fliers, promotional material, and programs for performances
  • Managing our database, and updating key sectors including students, artists, rental clients, and supporters
  • Creating and maintaining filing systems (both paper and PC-based) for the general theater files, the Artistic Director, and other senior staff members

Description

Founded over two decades ago, the Actors Theatre Workshop is an established pioneer in non-profit theatre that produces classical and contemporary plays, develops new dramatic works, trains and develops actors, directors and writers while making a difference in the lives of at-risk youth and the community at large. Thurman E. Scott, ATW's artistic director, Executive Producer and Founder, is a widely acknowledged expert of artistic project development, an innovator of award-winning arts curriculums and programs for proffessional artistic training, and has a long and successful history of public service to culturaly under-served communities.
