Visit hospice patients in their homes or in care facilities with your trained and certified pet therapy animal. Patients are located throughout the Twin Cities metro area and throughout the Princeton area. You will be matched with assignments close to your home. Hospice patients have been diagnosed with 6 months or less to live. Care is focused on comfort and quality of life. When life expectancy is limited, AccentCare Fairview Hospice staff and volunteers help patients and caregivers focus on improving the quality of their remaining days. Hospice provides medical, emotional, social and spiritual care. We bring these services to the familiar setting of patients' own homes whenever possible. The same kind of care may also be given at a long-term care site, a group home, an assisted living site or a residential hospice.
